We were contacted by a local nursing care home company to investigate why their Wi-Fi & network was not working and what steps could be taken to improve them for their residents.
In our initial survey we found that due to recent broadband changes and IT system updates their networking & systems had become obsolete and in very poor repair.
THE PROBLEM

They needed Wi-Fi across the properties for both their staff & their residents

The properties were both over 1,800m² in floor coverage, so required a bespoke setup & multiple devices hardwired.

They needed a system that could support hundreds of devices simultaneously without overloading the network.
OUR SOLUTION
INITIAL SURVEY & DOCUMENTATION
We completed an in-depth survey of their systems, Wi-Fi coverage and requirements and found multiple areas of concern including:
Disconnected management systems
Multiple broken cables
Multiple broken wall sockets
Insufficient number of access points for the property
Outdated / EOL systems
NEW HARDWIRED CABLE RUNS TO MULTIPLE ACCESS POINTS
THE RESULT

Incoming broadband speeds increased from 18Mbps to 900Mbps

Full Wi-Fi coverage over the 3 floors of the large home managed by a single system

New discrete Wi-Fi access points installed over existing ethernet wall sockets

Secure & separate networks for homeowners and guests.

Remotely managed & supported system with no upkeep for the owners
